LISTENING to Air America.  Senator Bernie Sanders is on live discussing how the media is the reason for the close polling results between Obama and McCain.   He argues that if only for ratings they are purposely distorting Obama positions so as not to increase his electoral lead.

The first thing Bush tried to do at the DOL was appoint Eugene Scalia, yeah that Scalia, as its Solicitor. Did not happened, thank goodness, but he did get a recess appointment. Labor was not happy, as witnessed by John Sweeney's comments a the time.

This was just the beginning of the assault. More cases have been brought against unions than management. This is just the extension of Bush's emphasis from Texas, delightfully chronicled by Molly Ivins, s "whatever is good for bidness".

Bill Moyers featured one Virginia paper's investigation into one of the poultry processing plants secret. It turns out that the DOL stopped collecting repetitive stress injuries by removing tht check box on the form!
